I recently had to install my Photoshop 6 & Upgade to CS2, but had a major problem, because I couldn’t install the my old Photoshop 6.
The PS 6 installer just works with the Classic OS, not the OS X.
But the solution is quite simple.
Start the Upgrade (in my case CS2) installer. Go through the whole install -prosses.. (S/N …. ect.)
At some piont, the installer starts looking for the installed, older Version of PS (the one to be upgraded). Now you have to choose something like a ‘change’ option.. and will find a field to enter the sereialnummber of your old version…. enter…. and the magic will overwehlm you…:o)
So… You don’t have to acctually install an old version to upgrade it, you just need a legal sereialnummber.
